PICKLEBALL
Pickleball is a fast-growing paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It’s played on a small court with a low net, using a plastic ball with holes and solid paddles. The game can be played in singles or doubles, and the goal is to hit the ball over the net and into the opponent’s court without letting it bounce twice. Players serve underhand and must let the ball bounce once on each side before volleying. It’s easy to learn, fun for all ages, and offers a mix of quick reflexes, strategy, and friendly competition.
WCRC offers several Pickleball programs. Scroll down for more info!

Beginner Pickleball League
Our Beginner Pickleball League was designed for adults with no prior experience who wanted to learn the game in a fun and supportive environment. The summer program includes 28 teams playing on Thursday nights starting at 6 PM throughout June and July. It begins with an interactive clinic to kick off the league introducing participants to the basic fundamentals, rules, and scoring. Each week focuses on skill development and friendly matches, offering a relaxed, social setting ideal for first-time players.
Indoor Pickleball
WCRC Indoor pickleball is a great way to stay active during the winter months without braving the cold. We collaborate with a local school to open their gym for drop-in play, offering a warm, welcoming space for all skill levels. It’s affordable, casual, and commitment-free—just show up and play when it fits your schedule. This program typically runs from December through February in the evenings. Whether you’re looking to stay fit, meet new people, or simply have fun, indoor pickleball is a perfect winter activity.
