Fishing Derby
The Wood County Recreation Commission and the family who started it all both come together to hold the Parkersburg Fishing Derby every year! This special event brings in kids from all different areas ranging in ages 3-14 to compete for top prizes and learn something new! With a variety of competitions, there’s something for everyone–from beginners just starting out to seasoned pros looking for that big catch. Whether you’re a casual fisherman looking for a good time or an experienced angler aiming to win it all, this is the fishing derby you want to be a part of! If you want to volunteer please call the office at 304-424-7311. This event is Free with the option to purchase a shirt! Pre-Register on our website here.
Pre-registration allows for a quicker check-in and reduced shirt price ($10 pre-registered, $15 day of event). Pre-ordered shirts will be available for pick up at check-in the day of the event. Please register each child individually and choose ONE location.
