Thank you for showing interest in our 2026 WV State Honey Festival Pageant. Our pageant will be held on August 1, 2026 at WVUP 300 Campus Dr, Parkersburg, WV 26104. The winners will be required to sign a contract that is valid until the 2026 pageant, participate in the WV State Honey Festival August 22-23, make appearances throughout the year, and our WV State Honey Festival queen will participate at the WV Association of Fairs and Festivals in January. 

Good sportsmanship must be displayed at all times and bullying will not be tolerated. If this behavior is brought to our attention, you will be asked to leave the pageant and will not be refunded. Contestants cannot hold another 2026 title. If a contestant happens to win a WVAFF title prior to the WVSHF the entry fee will be returned in full. 

 

Little Miss and Princess Details

Entry fee is $75

There will be 5 phases of competion:

1. Interview- the judges panel will meet with each contestant for a private interview. Interviews will last up to 3 minutes per contestant. Questions will consist of bio sheet and judges discretion.

2. On stage introduction- Each contestant will state their name, age, and hometown

3. Fun Fashion- contestants will be given the opprotunity to show off their best bee themed attire (ie. black and gold, black and yellow). Outfits MUST be age appropriate.

4. Evening gown- should be a floor length gown and age appropriate.

5. On-Stage question- these questions will consist of 1 bio question, 1 standard question, and 1 fishbowl question.

 

Teen, Mrs, and Ms. Details

Entry fee is $100

2. On stage introduction- Each contestant will state their name, age, and hometown

4. Evening gown- should be a floor length gown and age appropriate.

5. On-Stage question- these questions will consist of 1 bio question, 1 standard question, and 1 fishbowl question. 

 

Queen Details

Queen entry fee is $100

There will be 6 phases of competition:

1. Interview- the judges panel will meet with each contestant for a private interview. Interviews will last up to 3 minutes per contestant. Questions will consist of bio sheet and judges discretion.

2. On stage introduction- Each contestant will state their name, age, and hometown

3. Promo- queen contestants must create and perform a 30 second promotion of the WVSHF.

4. Fun Fashion- contestants will be given the opprotunity to show off their best bee themed attire (ie. black and gold, black and yellow). Outfits MUST be age appropriate.

5. Evening gown- should be a floor length gown and age appropriate.

6. On-Stage question- these questions will consist of 1 bio question, 1 standard question, and 1 fishbowl question. 

 

Schedule of Events (Schedule subject to change depending on number of contestants):

10:30 am- Registration

11:00 am- Orientation/Rehearsal

12:00 pm- Lunch

1:30 pm- Interview

3:30 pm- Doors open to public

4:00 pm- Pageant begins

 

*Due to limited space, little miss and princess contestants are allowed one person backstage to help them get ready. There will be people backstage to help teen and queen contestants.
