The Wood County Recreation Commission and the family who started it all both come together to hold the Parkersburg Fishing Derby every year! This special event brings in kids from all different areas ranging in ages 3-14 to compete for top prizes and learn something new! With a variety of competitions, there’s something for everyone–from beginners just starting out to seasoned pros looking for that big catch. Whether you’re a casual fisherman looking for a good time or an experienced angler aiming to win it all, this is the fishing derby you want to be a part of!
